Post Recording Decisions
Post Recording/Editing:
I entered into this assignment thinking I needed to remix sounds and make them distorted or unrecognizable. But I didn't really like taking these sounds, that seem so natural when they are cleaned up, and making them distorted/unrecognizable. So for my drift 2 I decided instead to make a landscape of sounds that would make you feel as though you are there at the place they were recorded, even if there were multiple sounds mixed together from different locations.

Recording, Visual, and Editing strategies
Original Recording Strategy: Go towards the loudest sounds and record.
Actual Recording Strategy: Sit in one location for a while and let sounds come to me.
Original Visual Strategy: Drive downtown and let traffic lights guide me down there.
Actual Visual Strategy: Panoramic Photographs to go with the recording.
I plan on taking a bunch of sounds no longer than 5 seconds and mix them into a beat with visuals to accompany them in the final version.
Actual Editing Strategy: Let the recording speak for itself and let the accompanying visuals be the accompanying visuals
